As NASA’s ‘Artemis I‘ nears launch (planned for September 23rd), our venture coincidentally is blasting off. Stem Digital is a web design and development company, but also aims to bring some science and tech content to our readers and customers. Here’s a a bit of info on Artemis!

Artemis is the next stage in our exploration of the solar system. It is the first step in a set of complex missions to allow us to go to the Moon again and then to Mars! This launch is to check all the safety and security aspects of the new ‘Deep Space Exploration Systems’. These systems are the Orion spacecraft, the Space Launch System rocket, and the associated Ground Systems at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The spacecraft will go around the moon and put ten small satellites into earth orbit, to do cool science.

During this flight, the spacecraft will launch on the most powerful rocket in the world and fly farther than any spacecraft built for humans has ever flown. (https://www.nasa.gov/feature/around-the-moon-with-nasa-s-first-launch-of-sls-with-orion)
